Ole Henriksen Bananas Bright Eye Créme | $38 Sephora
Great makeup starts with great skincare. On days I’m wearing light to heavy makeup this makes ALL the difference in illuminating my under eye area. On days I’m bare facing it, this gives me the bright awake look I’m looking for. All around yes.
Belif Moisturizing Eye Bomb | $48 Sephora.com
The skin underneath your eyes is the thinnest, therefore it gets the dryest the easiest. When it comes to a good hydrating eye cream – the belief moisturizing eye cream has been it. I use this twice a day and slab a little extra on at night. Over time it has helped me with the appearance and suppleness underneath my eyes like crazy! I highly recommend the investment.
Elf Illuminating Eye Cream | $10 Target
Don’t always have $50 to drop on eye cream? I get it – eye cream can get very expensive very quickly and sometimes it’s not always easy to justify the cost. This elf illuminating eye cream is a great addition to anyone looking for a cost-effective, budget-friendly option! The results are great and so is the price point.
Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser | $18 glossier.com
Hydration starts from the moment you wash and this cleanser has been a game changer. I use it on a dry face as a makeup remover and then use it wet as a cleanser. It’s made with some of the same ingredients as a contact lens solution, so it won’t burn your eyes and it completely removes waterproof mascara. On days I need additional cleansing I’ll go in with something stronger but for cleansing and hydration, it doesn’t get better than this.
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Exfoliating Cleanser | $7.99 Target
If you’re in need of a great everyday scrub this is the one. And at 7.99 it’s a steal! I know some people swear by the St Ives Apricot scrub but please put it back and grab this option instead. It provides the deep clean of a scrub with the hydration of a great moisturizer.
Mario Badescu Rose Water Spray | $7 – $12
Mario Badescu’s rosewater spray is a classic! I mainly use this as a toner 2x a day but I also use it to set makeup, to refresh and clean my face on days I wear no makeup. I use it post flights and sometimes as a makeup base. The options are really endless and this spray is extremely affordable so it’s become a staple in my skin care routine. This is really the only toner I use and that I like so this is a short section.
The Ordinary Marine Hyaluronics | $6.80 Theordinary.com
Stop overspending on serums and get into the ordinary. Same quality as all the high-end stuff but at a fraction of the cost! Hyaluronic acid is found naturally in the skin and helps to retain moisture. This Marine hyaluronic acid serum is ultra lightweight and made from sea minerals to give your skin an extra boost of amazing hydration! Since I’ve got it, I can’t go a day without it. Comparable to some of the serums by glossier but at a wonderful price point. This is the only serum I’m using and LOVING at the moment so no further recommendations at the moment.
Glossier Priming Moisturizer Rich | $35 Glossier.com
As a moisturizer junkie, I have finally found my PM moisturizer and this is it! It’s on the heavier side but the Glossier priming moisturizer in rich gives me all the overnight hydration my skin needs to wake up healthy and smooth.
Neutrogena Hydroboost Gel Cream | 16.99 Target
Neutrogena has done it again. This moisturizer is comparable to some of the high end $50 moisturizers but is more than half the cost. I use this every day as my AM moisturizer and have seen noticeable results. It instantly absorbs into the skin and leaves a light refreshing feeling.
Glow Recipe Watermelon Moisturizer | $21 Sephora
This moisturizer is going to be great for the summertime or when I just want a lighter moisturizer. It’s not as heavy as the first two but it is great on days when I’m feeling like switching it up. It also smells AMAZING and the packaging is super pretty.
Primers and Oils
Hylamide HA Blue Primer | $10 hyalamide.com
As far as primers are concerned, this has been the only one I’m using and my makeup goes on FLAWLESS. It’s silicone based and meant for photography. I also use it on days I intend to wear 0 makeup just to even out my skin tone, control my oily t zone and give that smooth fresh finish in my photos without a filter.
The Ordinary 100% Plant-derived Squalene | 7.90 The ordinary.com
You might be like wtf is squalene, but it is a natural hydrocarbon that is present in the skin, helping to prevent loss of hydration and to improve suppleness! Unlike other oils, Squalane is completely non-greasy, is exceptionally pure so when it’s on your skin it feels like skin! I use this at night as the last step after moisturizer or on Sunday mornings and the results are incredible! And at $7.90 compared to $30+ dollars from other brands it’s a no brainer.
